John le Carre's most recent book, "The Constant Gardener," (O Fiel Jardineiro, na tradução portuguesa da DQ) is being made into a movie starring Ralph Fiennes by Focus Features, who have tapped Fernando Meirelles to direct. The story is of an English diplomat in Kenya who investigates the dark doings behind the murder of his idealistic wife. It's currently a Pocket Books paperback; le Carre's next "Absolute Friends", (que a Dom Quixote publicará na rentreé de 2004) is appearing from Little, Brown in the new year.
